Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information TAO Architecture (“TAO”, “we”, “us”) collects through taoarchitecture.com, why we collect it, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and the choices you have. It applies to this website only.

Who we are

TAO Architecture is an architecture and interior design practice based in Pune, India. We decide how the information you send through this website is used, and we are responsible for it.

What we collect

When you send us an enquiry

The contact form asks for your name, email address, company name (optional), a subject and your message.

When you apply for a job

The career application form asks for:

• your name, phone numbers, email address, and current and permanent address
• your date of birth, gender and marital status, and the names and occupations of your parents or spouse
• your education, work experience, software skills and expected salary, when you can join, and for how long
• the names and contact details of your referees
• the files you attach: your resume, portfolio, latest salary slip and reference letter

Please share only what the form asks for. If you give us details of other people, such as family members or referees, please tell them you have done so and why.

When you browse the website

We count visits and measure how quickly pages load using Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights. They record the pages viewed, the website that referred you, and your device type, browser and country, and report them to us only as totals. They do not use cookies and do not identify you.

To protect our forms from spam and abuse, we keep a short-lived count of how often each IP address uses them. Our hosting provider also keeps technical logs (such as IP addresses, browser details and the pages requested) for a short time, to keep the website secure and working.

How we use it

• to reply to your enquiry and discuss your project
• to consider your job application, contact you about it and, if we take it forward, speak to your referees
• to keep the website secure, working and easy to use
• to meet our legal obligations

We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or send you marketing emails.

Your consent

We use the information you send through our forms with your consent, which you give when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time by contacting us (see below). We will then stop using your information and delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it. Withdrawing your consent does not affect anything we did with it before.

Who we share it with

Only TAO staff who need your information can see it. We use these service providers to run the website, and they store or process information for us:

• Vercel hosts the website
• Supabase hosts the database where enquiries and applications are kept, in Mumbai
• Cloudinary stores the files attached to job applications, privately, and the images shown on the website; it may store them outside India

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, for example to a court or a government authority.

Cookies and content from other websites

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. The admin panel, which only TAO staff use, sets one cookie to keep them signed in.

Some pages show content from other companies: videos from YouTube on the Videos page, and a Google map on the Contact page. When this content loads, or when you play a video, YouTube and Google may set their own cookies and collect information under their own privacy policies.

How long we keep it

• enquiries: up to six months
• job applications and their files: up to six months, unless you join TAO (they then become part of your employment records)

We then delete them, or sooner if you ask, unless the law requires us to keep them for longer.

How we protect it

The website is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS). The admin panel is protected by passwords, and only signed-in TAO staff can open job applications and their files. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we have used it
• correct, complete or update it
• delete it, or stop using it by withdrawing your consent

You can also name someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or are unable to. To do any of this, contact our Grievance Officer (below). We will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

This website is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before sending us any personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
